S2 Grupo creates the Alan Turing Club
- This is the first private forum to bring together leading cybersecurity experts to create common synergies to improve cyber-protection in our country.
- The name pays tribute to what is considered the father of modern computing and author of the crackling of "Enigma" in World War II.
- 3 meetings are planned in 2017 to be held in Valencia, Madrid and Barcelona.
Valencia, March 23, 2017.- S2 Grupo, a company specialized in cybersecurity and exploitation of critical systems, has created the "Alan Turing Club". This is the first private forum that will periodically gather the main agents in charge of the cybersecurity of private and public organizations in our country with the purpose of realizing a common situation of the sector and to be able to establish strategic lines that allow to improve the cyber-protection of any type of company. The Alan Turing Club owes its name to the one who is considered the father of modern computing and was able to crack in World War II "Enigma" (German message coding machine), facilitating British victory against the Germans. This forum will become a meeting point for CISO's, CIO's and heads of CERT's, who are responsible for the management of cyber risk and management of incidents of the Administration and strategic companies, such as those that are part of Ibex35, where they will be able to reflect on the various issues that concern them and exchange experiences. In short, the objective of this initiative of S2 Grupo is to promote a rapprochement between those responsible for the management of cyber incidents in order to create a web of knowledge and practice that allows continuous improvements in the area of cybersecurity and prevent criminals from acting, as well as the possible consequences of their actions (information theft, search for geopolitical or financial benefits, etc.). "Until then, there had been no area for strategic and confidential reflection on this subject matter and that was what drove us to start up this Club. On the one hand, it is essential to know what concerns the people in charge of cyber-protection of any organization in order to create products and services that meet those needs and, on the other hand, it is very important that they know the latest advances in cybersecurity so that they become aware of new hazards that lurk in connected spaces of any kind, which will allow them to improve in the protection of their environments", said José Rosell, associate-director of S2 Grupo. "Today, we are living in a time when the dangers in the Internet of things, which is practically everything, ranging from public organizations to industry, from small businesses to big corporations, have become a reality. Words like cyberwarfare, cyberspace or cybercrime are the order of the day and just as we protect our house with a good lock, we must do the same in digital environments. The problem is that we are talking about a sector that grows so fast, changes so imminently, that it has become necessary to create the Alan Turing Club to have an expert knowledge forum that increases the efficiency and tools of all those responsible for cybersecurity so that we have feedback in order to be one step ahead of the cyber attackers", said Miguel A. Juan, associate-director of S2 Grupo. In 2017 the Alan Turing Club has scheduled three sessions to be held in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. In this way, companies and local administrations may also participate in these meetings. More information: prensa@wonderful-jemison.82-223-151-98.plesk.page
